I'm the son of a Brazilian immigrant. At fifteen, I left high school to work full-time after my father got sick — he passed two years later, and providing for my family became my education. For the next twenty-five years, I did whatever it took: banking, driving trucks, working warehouses, and swinging a hammer on remodeling crews.

Eventually I found my way to college, and then to a career as a project manager in the electrical utility industry — running complex jobs, budgets, and crews to a professional standard. For a long time I wondered why my path had been so far from a straight line.

Then it clicked. That winding road wasn't a detour — it was the training. The labor years gave me an obsessive attention to detail. Banking and the corporate world taught me how to treat customers and run an honest business. Project management taught me how to deliver on time, on budget, and on my word.
