Cabinet Painting & Refinishing

Cabinet Painting & Refinishing

Tired, dated, or orange-toned cabinets don't need to be torn out. Painting your existing kitchen or bathroom cabinets gets you a smooth, factory-like finish in the color you want — for a fraction of the cost and mess of new cabinetry. The secret is all in the prep and the spray: we clean, degrease, sand, prime, and finish so the result looks built-in, not brushed-on.

A finish this smooth is 80% preparation.

The reason a cheap cabinet repaint peels, chips, or shows every brush stroke is skipped prep. Kitchen cabinets are coated in cooking grease and old finish that paint won't grip until it's cleaned, sanded, and primed with a proper bonding primer. We take doors and drawer fronts off, label everything, prep every surface, and lay down smooth coats — so your cabinets look factory-finished and stand up to daily kitchen use.

  • Thorough degreasing, sanding, and bonding primer
  • Doors removed, labeled, and finished off their hinges
  • Smooth sprayed or fine-brushed topcoats

Questions, answered

Is painting cabinets really cheaper than replacing them?
Significantly — refinishing typically costs a fraction of new cabinetry because you keep the existing boxes and layout. If your cabinets are structurally sound, painting is the highest-value update in the kitchen. If the boxes are failing or the layout doesn't work, we'll tell you honestly that replacement is the better spend.
Will the paint chip or peel over time?
Not when it's prepped right. Peeling comes from paint applied over grease or a glossy finish without cleaning, sanding, and priming. We do all of that with a proper bonding primer and durable cabinet-grade coatings built for daily use. Note that, like all painted finishes, cabinet painting isn't covered by our installation workmanship warranty and normal wear and accidental chips aren't warrantied — but done our way, the finish holds up beautifully.
How long does a cabinet painting project take?
Most kitchens take several days to about a week depending on the number of doors, the finish, and dry times between coats. We give you a realistic schedule up front, and because we remove and finish the doors off-site or in a controlled area, your kitchen stays usable for much of the project.
What colors and finishes can I get?
Any color you like — classic whites and off-whites, warm greiges, deep navies and greens, or a two-tone look with a different color on the island or lowers. We typically finish in a satin or semi-gloss sheen that wipes clean and stands up to kitchen use.
Can you update the hardware too?
Yes. We can reuse your existing knobs and pulls or install new ones, and we'll fill and re-drill for different hardware spacing so everything lines up cleanly. New hardware is one of the easiest ways to modernize alongside a fresh cabinet color.
